Eva Longoria & Anthony Ramos To Be Honored At Annual Dia De Muertos Gala

EXCLUSIVE: Eva Longoria and Anthony Ramos will be feted at Carlos Eric Lopez’s Fourth Annual Dia de Muertos celebration on November 1st at the Paramount Studio Lot in Hollywood. Longoria will receive the Life & Legacy Award and Ramos will be presented with the Monarch Award.

Now in its fourth year, the event is a tribute to Latino culture and the Mexican tradition of honoring family who have passed and bringing together family who are chosen. This year, the event will feature the creative vision of Oscar-winning production designer Eugenio Caballero. At last year’s celebration, Gael Garcia Bernal was honored with the inaugural Premio Vida y Legado award.

A third award, known as the Abuelita Award, will be presented this year by Alien: Romulus star Isabela Merced posthumously to her grandmother Yolanda Merced Salazar. The award recognizes how abuelas around the world leave indelible marks on our hearts and the profound influence they make on their family and beyond. Merced’s aunt Gloria Rojas will accept the award.

The celebration continues beyond the awards dinner with performances by Hamilton and In the Heights star Ramos who will sing the traditional folk song “La Llorona” and recording artist Miguel will perform his Grammy Award-winning song, “Adorn.”

Over the past three years, it has grown exponentially, bringing our community together to celebrate a meaningful holiday that honors our loved ones and recognizes those making a profound impact on Latino culture,” said Carlos Eric Lopez in a statement to Deadline. “I am excited to honor Eva Longoria and Anthony Ramos for their outstanding contributions to the arts and culture, and I can’t wait for our biggest and most immersive event yet at the iconic Paramount Studios.”

Past Dia de Muertos event guests have included Jessica Alba, Nicole Richie, Vanessa Bryant, Diego Boneta, Jennifer Atkin, Michael Cimino, Willy Chavarria, Xochitl Gomez, Xolo Maridue?a, Sasha Calle, Lele Pons, Desi Perkins and Aimee Song.
