Eva Mendes Makes Rare Appearance in Leather Knee-High Boots to Promote Her New Book in New York

Eva Mendes was spotted in New York today.
The “Ghost Rider” star is currently promoting her new childnre’picture book for children titled “Desi, Mami, and The Never-Ending Worries.” The book tells the story of a little girl facing endless scary worries and how her mother helps chase those worries away. The children’s novel is available in both English and Spanish.
Getting ready for fall, the thespian sported a pair of sleek black knee-high boots. The footwear pick featured slightly shiny black leather uppers and a form fit that transitioned into sharp pointed toes and 3 to 4-inch stiletto heels.
As the weather gets colder, we are seeing celebrities start to switch out their summer-ready footwear for fall and winter styles that encompass the foot, offering coverage from the elements. In Mendes’ case, the boot acted to elongate her silhouette, creating the illusion of length and height.
Christian Louboutin, Le Silla, Gianvito Rossi, Nine West, Tony Bianco and Veronica Beard all feature styles for sale that are comparable to Mendes’ own. Beyond Mendes, leather knee-high styles are beloved by many top stars including Katy Perry, Charli XCX, Kim Kardashian, Julia Fox, Heidi Klum and Queen Camilla, among others.
On the outfit front, the “2 Fast 2 Furious” actress donned a form-fitted leopard-printed maxi dress. The style was made out of a slinky fabric and included intricate draping that further diversified the silhouette. Overtop, Mendes sported a bright blue wool coat with turtleshell buttons and structural shoulders.
As for accessories, the Miami native toted a mini black Stella McCartney bowling bag with gold hardware accompanied by coordinating gold jewelry and chunky black sunglasses.
Mendes was recently the star of Stella McCartney’s winter 2024 campaign alongside the tagline “It’s about f*cking time.” The collection is largely inspired by a custom tank top worn by Stella when Paul McCartney was inducted into the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame in 1999.
