On October 18, 2024, Taylor Swift will officially begin the last leg of her widely successful Eras Tour in Miami, Florida, which will include 18 shows in the United States and Canada. March 17, 2023: The Eras Tour kicks off in Glendale, Arizona
March 17, 2023, will live in infamy because it marked the start of The Eras Tour. Swift started in Glendale, Arizona, following the setlist below!

April 8, 2023: Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn break up
April 8 was a big day for Swifties, because it was the day they learned Swift and Alwyn broke up after six years of dating. Before it was announced, people were quick to notice that Alwyn hadn’t been spotted at any of Swift’s previous shows, but didn't think it meant anything. After the breakup, Swift also changed The Eras Tour setlist from “invisible string” to “the 1”— a song that centers around wishing a person from your past was the one you ended up with, which is most likely a direct shout-out to Alwyn.
May 3, 2023: Taylor Swift and Matty Healy stir up dating rumors
Originally reported by The Sun, Swift and Matty Healy were rumored to be dating on May 3, 2023. The two had been friends since 2014 and, according to a source, “She [Swift] and Matty [Healy] are madly in love. It’s super-early days, but it feels right. They first dated, very briefly, almost ten years ago, but timings just didn’t work out.”
May 5, 2023: Taylor Swift announces ‘Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)’
While in Nashville, Tennessee, Swift took time during the “Surprise Song” section to announce her version of Speak Now.
“It fills me with such pride and joy to announce that my version of Speak Now will be out July 7 (just in time for July 9th, iykyk),” wrote the singer on social media. “I first made Speak Now, completely self-written, between the ages of 18 and 20. The songs that came from this time in my life were marked by their brutal honesty, unfiltered diaristic confessions and wild wistfulness. I love this album, because it tells a tale of growing up, flailing, flying and crashing… and living to speak about it. With six extra songs I’ve sprung loose from the vault, I absolutely cannot wait to celebrate Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) with you on July 7th.”
May 25, 2023: Taylor Swift drops ‘Karma’ featuring Ice Spice
Just 20 days after announcing Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), Swift announced that she would be releasing a remix of her song “Karma” featuring the talents of rapper Ice Spice.
“So delighted to say that Karma featuring the incredible @icespice will be out TOMORROW night at MIDNIGHT ET as a part of the new Midnights (Til Dawn Edition) deluxe album,” Swift wrote on Instagram. “ I’m a massive fan of this brilliant artist, and after getting to know her I can confirm: she is THE ONE to watch.”
May 27, 2023: Taylor Swift releases the ‘Karma’ featuring Ice Spice music video
Two days after releasing “Karma” featuring Ice Spice, Swift decided to debut the song's music video during her show in East Rutherford, New Jersey. She also took the time to have Ice Spice come on stage and sing her part of Karma during the show's finale.
June 4, 2023: Taylor Swift and Matty Healy reportedly break up
Swift and Healy’s romance was short and sweet, because after just a month the two reportedly broke up.
"They were never boyfriend-girlfriend or exclusive and were always just having fun," a source said. “There is no drama, and who knows what could happen again. It was a good time and ran its course."
July 7, 2023: ‘Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)’ releases
July 7, 2023, was a big day for Swifties. Not only did Swift release Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), but she also took the time to make her show in Kansas City, Kansas a release party for it by adding “Long Live (Taylor’s Version)” to the setlist and debuted the music video for “I Can See You (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault),” which featured the talents of Taylor Lautner, Joey King and Presley Cash—all of whom appeared on the Eras Tour stage to celebrate.
“It was a Speak Now (my version) album release party at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City this weekend, full of surprises,” Swift wrote on Instagram. “I got to premiere the video for‘I Can See You’ on the big screen, and hearing the crowd’s reaction to it is something I’ll never forget. THEN @joeyking @taylorlautner and @helloimpresleycash walked on stage (and there were even a few flips??) to say hi to everyone. I got to play ‘Long Live’ with my incredible band (who are the ones playing on all my re-records, too), and it was just so unfathomably special to me. Singing those words in a stadium full of people who helped me get my music back. Love you all.”
Fun fact: This was also the first-ever show Travis Kelce attended.
August 9, 2023: Taylor Swift announces ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’
It turns out that re-releasing an album, a song and two music videos wasn’t enough for Swift because, on the final night of her Los Angeles tour stop, she decided to announce 1989 (Taylor’s Version).
“The 1989 album changed my life in countless ways, and it fills me with such excitement to announce that my version of it will be out October 27th,” the singer wrote on her social media accounts. “To be perfectly honest, this is my most FAVORITE re-record I’ve ever done because the 5 From The Vault tracks are so insane. I can’t believe they were ever left behind. But not for long!”
September 24, 2023: Taylor Swift attends her first-ever Kansas City Chiefs game
Every Swiftie remembers where they were when they learned that Swift attended Travis Kelce’s football game. She sat in Kelce’s box and could be found cheering, laughing and cheering on her boyfriend. How cute is that?
October 11, 2023: Taylor Swift attends ‘The Eras Tour’ movie
After announcing the movie’s release on September 26, Swift attended its premiere on October 11. Many celebrities—including Beyonce—attended the premiere alongside Swift, who wore a light blue floral dress and pinned her hair up in a bob.
October 27, 2023: '1989 (Taylor's Version)’ releases
On October 27, Swift released 1989 (Taylor’s Version) with five new songs and trust us when we say they are brilliant! This also marked the first re-recording the signer did not to feature any guest-stars.
November 11, 2023: Taylor Swift sings ‘Karma is the guy on the Chiefs’ for the first time
During her 11/11 Eras Tour show, Swift decided to change the lyrics in her song “Karma” from “Karma is the guy on the screen” to “Karma is the guy on The Chiefs” in reference to Kelce, who was in attendance. Swift continued to do it at the other games her beau attended.
December 6, 2023: Taylor Swift becomes ‘Time Magazine’s’ Person of the Year
After beating out people like Barbie and King Charles III, Swift was named Time Magazine’s Person of The Year.
“This was the year she perfected her craft—not just with her music, but in her position as the master storyteller of the modern era,” the magazine wrote in their announcement. “The world, in turn, watched, clicked, cried, danced, sang along, swooned, caravanned to stadiums and movie theaters, let her work soundtrack their lives. For Swift, it’s a peak.”
This interview was also the first time Swift spoke publicly about her relationship with Kelce.
December 16, 2023: The Eras Tour breaks a record
According to Pollstar, The Eras Tour officially became the highest-grossing tour of all time on December 16, 2023. At that time, the tour had grossed over $1 billion dollars, and based on how much we paid for tickets and merchandise, we are surprised it didn’t hit that milestone sooner!
February 4, 2024: Taylor Swift announces ‘The Tortured Poets Department’
After winning a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album for her album Midnights, Swift decided to announce her brand new album, The Tortured Poets Department.
“This is my 13th Grammy—which is my lucky number; I don’t know if I’ve ever told you that,” Swift said in her acceptance speech. “I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I have been keeping from you for the last two years, which is that my brand-new album comes out April 19. ??It’s called The Tortured Poets Department. I’m going to go and post the cover right now backstage. Thank you, I love you!"
April 19, 2024: ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ releases
April 19 was a day “straight from The Tortured Poets Department” because that was the day Swift released her 10th studio album. It had 16 songs initially, but at 2am that same day, sheannounced The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology, which featured an additional 16 songs.
Later that same day, Swift released the first-ever music video for the album. It was the song “Fortnight,” which she wrote and sang with Post Malone.
May 9, 2024: ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ gets added to The Eras Tour setlist
On the first show of her European tour, Swift decided to change her entire setlis, altering up the order of The Eras, cutting some songs and adding others from The Tortured Poets Department, including fan favorites “But Daddy, I Love Him,” “Who’s Afraid of Little Of Me” and “I Can Do it With a Broken Heart.”
Swift also debuted new outfits for each Era of the show except for Reputation, which is the one album on the setlist that she doesn't own yet.
June 23, 2024: Travis Kelce makes his Eras Tour Debut
The last thing anyone expected was to find Kelce on stage in The Eras Tour, but during the June 23 show, the tight end appeared as one of Swift’s background dancers during the song “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” and it was simply perfect!
"It was the perfect area, or perfect time, for me to go up there — just be a ham and have some fun,” Travis said in an episode of his podcast, New Heights. “It was awesome. And I didn’t disappoint Taylor, so that’s all that really matters.”
August 20: Taylor Swift ends the second leg of her Eras Tour
During the last night of her European tour, Swift decided to pull out all the stops. She added “Florida!!!” to the setlist and even brought out Florence & The Machine to perform it with her. Then she brought her longtime friend and collaborator Jack Antonoff to play "Death By A Thousand Cuts" and "Getaway Car" during the “Surprise Song” section.
Finally, after the show ended, she decided to debut her “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” music video, which featured behind-the-scenes clips from various shows.
