Last season of Dancing with the Stars saw a lot of new with the long-time reality series, namely the departure of Tyra Banks and the addition of DWTS alum Julianne Hough joining Alfonso Ribiero at the mic. Will Dancing with the Stars return for Season 33?
Yes! ABC and Disney announced on Instagram on May 15 that DWTS would be returning for its 33rd season this fall.
When does Dancing with the Stars Season 33 premiere in 2024?
We don't have an exact Season 33 premiere date yet. But given past precedent, we should anticipate the season to debut in mid to late September 2024.
When is the Dancing with the Stars Season 33 finale?
As there is no premiere date announced, we don't have a finale date either for DWTS Season 33. However, with the exception of last season, recent editions have ended in the last couple of weeks of November, running about 10 weeks total.
What channel is Dancing with the Stars on?
DWTS will continue to air Season 33 simultaneously on ABC and Disney+, with episodes available the next day through Hulu. This change was brought about last season, after a year away from broadcast TV and purely on streaming.

How long has Dancing with the Stars been on TV?
Dancing with the Stars premiered June 1, 2005 and concluded its 31st season on ABC on Nov. 21, 2022. For Season 31, the dance reality series moved to Disney+, before moving back to ABC as well for Season 32.
Will Alfonso Ribiero return as host for Dancing with the Stars Season 33?
Yes! It's expected that Alfonso Ribiero will continue his role as DWTS host. In July 2022, it was announced that the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star (and DWTS Season 19 champ) would be serving as co-host for Season 31. “Dancing with the Stars has been such an important part of my life for so many years, and I am ecstatic to officially re-join this tight-knit family as co-host,” he said.
Will Julianne Hough return as host for Dancing with the Stars Season 33?
Yes! In addition to Alfonso, Julianne Hough is also expected to stay on as her role of co-host for DWTS Season 33. She took the spot previously occupied by Alfonso in the skybox, talking to couples after their performances. This will be the third different role she has had with the show, dancing as a pro for five seasons (and winning Seasons 4 and 5), as well as serving as a judge from 2014 to 2017.

Who are the Dancing with the Stars judges in 2024 for Season 33?
ABC has confirmed that Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough will all return as judges for DWTS Season 33. Bruno and Carrie have been with the show since the beginning, while Derek won the show six times as a pro, then sat on the panel since Season 29 to replace Len Goodman.

Is Sharna Burgess returning for Dancing with the Stars Season 33?
It's unknown if longtime professional vet Sharna Burgess will be rejoining DWTS. She sat out Season 31 due to giving birth to her first child with her boyfriend (and Season 30 partner), Brian Austin Green, in June. But, on her podcast with Green, Old-ish, she revealed that she was not asked back on the show for Season 32.
"Working through my feelings of disappointment about DWTS," she said in an Instagram caption promoting the premiere episode, which dropped Sept. 12. "When we recorded a few days ago I was definitely still processing but trying to do it with a little grace and find my gratitude. We talk about my last 5 years with the show and how (difficult) they’ve felt, how I feel not being asked, my insecurities that arise. I basically stumble my way through the thoughts in my head while @randyspelling and @brianaustingreen listen and help. Love them both."
Sharna was also not asked to join the professional alumni who performed a beautiful tribute to late head judge Len Goodman. Her absence sparked outrage from the DWTS community, as well as Green.

Is Lindsay Arnold returning for Dancing with the Stars Season 33?
Similar to Sharna, Lindsay Arnold took off Season 31 due to family reasons. However, in this case, it was to make time for her attempts to grow her family and have a second child. In October, she happily announced that another baby was due in May 2023. Lindsay also chose to sit Season 32 out due to the intense filming schedule. It's unknown if she'll be making her long-awaited return for Season 33.
Is Witney Carson returning for Dancing with the Stars Season 33?
In August 2023, Witney Carson announced on her TikTok account that she would not be returning to Dancing with the Stars for Season 32. It did not come as a shock to DWTS fans, considering that she had just given birth back to her second child. That being said, we don't know if this means she'll be making a return appearance in Season 33.

Actress Xochitl Gomez and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy were crowned the champions. The MCU actress proved to be an absolute superhero on the dance floor, beating out some strong competition to become the frontrunner. Singer-songwriter Jason Mraz finished in second place with Daniella Karagach. Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix, fresh off of her "Scandoval" spotlight, finished in third with Pasha Pashkov. Fourth place went to former Bachelorette Charity Lawson and Artem Chigvintsev. And, in a Dancing with the Stars first, five teams made the finale! Buffy the Vampire Slayer and How I Met Your Mother star Alyson Hannigan claimed the last spot with Sasha Farber.
What Bachelor contestants will appear on Dancing with the Stars Season 33?
Dancing with the Stars has seen a notable number of "Bachelor nation" alumni appear on the series. Most recently, recent Bachelorette star Charity Lawson was the rep, going all the way to the finale and finishing in fourth place.
Are there any new rules in 2024 for DWTS Season 33?
We don't know if there'll be any new rules yet. The last big change in the rules came in Season 28 of Dancing with the Stars after the shocking victory of Bobby Bones the previous season. First, the audience was now able to vote both online and by text, limited to only 10 votes per couple per method. The second saw the institution of the somewhat controversial "Judges' Save," where the judges chose who would go home out of the bottom two couples every week.
