Everything We Know About Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky’s Split

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky have officially split. That said, the d-word is currently not being used, minus Kyle’s misspoken divorce statement at BravoCon. More on that later. Either way, this separation is sad.

Kyle and Mo’s 27-year long marriage has had its fair share of ups and downs. Therefore, this announcement isn’t all that shocking. For those still trying to understand what went wrong, here’s everything that we know regarding Kyle and Mauricio’s split.

Kyle and Mauricio’s Early Years

Kyle and Mauricio met in 1994 at a nightclub called Bar One. In a 2021 interview with The Knot, Kyle explained “Mauricio thought I was Demi Moore’s sister…so he worked up the courage to come over and say hello, thinking that I was.” It worked. The pair were married in 1996.

To date, the Umanskys now have three children: Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23, and Portia, 15. In addition, Kyle also has a 34-year-old daughter, Farrah Brittany, with her ex-husband Guraish Aldjufrie. In 2010, Kyle joined the cast of RHOBH, alongside her real estate husband, Mauricio. During their first season, a psychic foresaw that Mauricio would “never emotionally fulfill” Kyle, which now feels…spot-on.

August, 2022: Their Former Co-Star Hints at an Affair

When she’s not wearing $25,000 shades, Kyle’s former cast mate Dana Wilkey is wearing thin, on our nerves. When Dorit Kemsley was robbed, Mauricio affectionately comforted his wife’s friend. Enter in Dana, photoshopping their faces onto a movie poster. Like rapid fire, others began to speculate on whether or not this could be true.

In the comments, Dorit sounded off, angrily denying her joke. “Is something wrong with you woman? Or are you just so miserable in your life you have nothing better to do?”

July 3, 2023: Kyle and Mauricio’s Split Is Announced

A source leaked to People that “Kyle and Mauricio have been separated for a while now but are still living under the same roof. They remain amicable as they figure out what’s next for them and their family.”

July 3, 2023: Kyle and Mauricio Respond

Almost immediately after, Kyle and Mauricio issued a joint statement, stressing “any claims regarding us divorcing are untrue.” The couple denied any “wrongdoings” on either side, but admitted that things were off, explaining, “We have had a rough year. The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously.”

July 3, 2023: Kyle and Mauricio Spotted Post Denial

Whew, July 23, 2023 was an eventful day in the Umansky household, eh? Following the leaking of their split and their released statement, Kyle and Mauricio were spotted out on a date. Sitting together at a table for two, the pair were engaged in a serious conversation while vacationing in Aspen, Colorado.

July 24, 2023: Kyle Forgoes Ring, Split Denials Ensue

When leaving a gym, Kyle was spotted without her wedding ring, which she addressed on an Amazon Live in July. It looks like these pap shots were all just a silly misunderstanding. You see, Kyle never wears her rings when lifting weights at the gym, which yeah, makes sense.

August 4, 2023: Kyle Pokes Fun of Her Rumored Affair

Mauricio has typically been the one in the hot seat when it comes to affairs. In fact, every few seasons on RHOBH, infidelity accusations swirl, which are usually laughed away.

In a shocking turn of events, Kyle has now found herself in the accused seat, as her friendship with country singer Morgan Wade is sparking rumors. Poking fun at this, Kyle shot a music video alongside Morgan, which depicted the two ladies as being an item.

August 20, 2023: Kyle and Mauricio’s Family Vacation

Whatever is going on behind their expensive closed doors, it’s clear to see that Kyle and Mauricio are handling things fairly well. On August 20, Sophia shared a photo with both of her parents from an Italian vacation, captioned “Last night in Positano.” It’s rare to see a tight family unit in these sticky situations, so we have to applaud Kyle and Mauricio for their efforts.

September 12, 2023: More Affair Rumors Swirl

The gossip accounts went wild on August 20, as Kyle and Morgan were allegedly spotted together in Paris, on what appeared to be an “intimate” date. On this, Kyle still claims that she and Morgan are “just friends.”

October 24, 2023: Mauricio’s Intimate Dance on DWTS

Kyle isn’t the only one causing the media to loose their minds. Before he was eliminated from Dancing with the Stars last week, Mauricio and his dance partner Emma Slater performed a very racy number together. Weirdly, Mauricio dedicated this sexy routine with another women to Kyle. Around the same time, he and Emma were also spotted holding hands.

October 25, 2023: Kyle Alludes to Mauricio’s Cheating

During the premiere of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13, Kyle laughed off the rumors of her affair with Morgan. In their kitchen, Mauricio, joked “I’m just glad it’s you out there having an affair.” Not looking in his direction, Kyle responded, “For once it’s me,” as Mauricio cringed. Busted, Mo.

October 26, 2023: Mauricio Speaks Out

In another joint statement, Mauricio and Kyle Emma clarified that they were just buds with a “super supportive friendship.” As for their hand holding, Mauricio said that it had been an intense week, and that he and Emma were just recapping it all, while innocently holding hands.

On his marriage, Mauricio explained via Page Six that “Divorce is not part of our conversation right now. That is not part of what we’re dealing with. We’re dealing with a separation.”

Oh yeah, he also spoke out on his wife’s “friendship” with Morgan. “There is no doubt in my mind that Kyle has not slept or cheated with Morgan Wade. They are not in a relationship.”

November 6, 2023: Kyle Says Divorce, But Backtracks

While at BravoCon this past week, Kyle confirmed their divorce while on the red carpet. However, during a sit down with Andy Cohen, she quickly backtracked. “I misspoke…I had to correct someone when they said divorce. I said separated, and then I went and said it” she explained, laughing.

At this point, there’s definitely a separation in place. Where it all goes from here, however, is anyone’s guess.
