Everything leaving Hulu in September 2024
Strange things are happening at Hulu in September. After barely losing anything in August, Hulu is dumping more titles this month … but most of them aren’t very good. A lot of low-budget horror flicks are leaving on September 30, and judging from the reviews, the majority will not be missed.
However, there are still movies worth checking out before they depart Hulu, including Call Jane, Theater Camp, Cosmos, Freakonomics, I Give It a Year, The Mandela Effect, and the V/H/S trilogy. But considering that the really great movies on Hulu are staying put this month, we’ll call this a win for subscribers. To keep you up to date, we’ve included the list of everything leaving Hulu in September, with our picks in bold.
This is also a great time to consider the Disney Bundle, which gets you Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+ for just $14 per month. That’s basically like getting all three services, but only paying for two of them, and it’s pretty tough to beat. It’s also a great way to make sure you don’t miss anything on any of these services.

Our top pick for September
Cosmos (2019) [New]
IMDb: 6.0/10
Duration: 128m
Genre: Science Fiction, Mystery
Stars: Arjun Singh Panam, Joshua Ford, Tom England
Directed by: Zander Weaver, Elliot Weaver
Cosmos has flown largely under the radar since its debut in 2019, but it’s notable for how much first-time directors and screenwriters Elliot Weaver and Zander Weaver manage to get out of a budget that might have been too low for shoestrings. Mike Webster (Tom England), Harry Knight (Joshua Ford), and Roy Kennedy (Arjun Singh Panam) are a trio of amateur astronomers who stumble across a radio signal that may be the first definitive proof that aliens are real. Most of the film is set in and around their car as they try to pin down what could be the discovery of a lifetime. But the movie still goes for a big flourish at the end as the ramifications of what they’ve found are laid bare.
