Evil’s Katja Herbers Reacts to ‘Super Sad’ Cancellation, Courts Netflix Pickup
Evil‘s just-announced ending was a result of Paramount+ decision-making and did not stem from the show’s creative team wanting to wrap things up, a since-deleted social media post from series star Katja Herbers suggests.
In a post made hours after news of the cancellation broke (and then later taken down), Herbers tweeted: “We’re all super sad @paramountplus has decided season 4 is our last.” Then she courted another streaming site for a possible pickup. “@netflix u up? Care to snatch up the goods??”

TVLine has reached out to Paramount+ for comment.
Earlier today, TVLine reported that the supernatural series would end with its upcoming fourth season, which will be augmented with four additional episodes to be shot in the near future. The drama’s swan song is slated to premiere sometime in May.
“We want to thank Paramount+ for giving us four bonus episodes to end Evil in the world in style,” series co-creators/showrunners/executive producers Robert and Michelle King said via statement. “We will miss this show and cast. In many ways it was a dream project, but sadly evil will outlast Evil. See you in May.”
In conjunction with the final season announcement, Paramount+ released a teaser trailer showing Herbers’ Kristen, Mike Colter’s David, Aasif Mandvi’s Ben, Michael Emerson’s Leland and several other members of the show’s cast. (Watch it here.)
