Ewan McGregor Poses with His Kids and Sweetly Shouts Out His Family at Hollywood Walk of Fame Ceremony: 'Very Lucky'
McGregor is dad to son Laurie, 3, and daughters Clara, 28, Esther, 22, Jamyan, 22, and Anouk, 13
Ewan McGregor is celebrating a big milestone in his career with his family by his side.
On Thursday, Sept. 12, the Emmy award-winning actor, 53, received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and sweetly shouted out his wife, actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and all five of his kids.
"I was very lucky to work with my daughter Clara, here, on a movie called Bleeding Love. Had a better title before but some less creative people changed it," McGregor said of his 28-year-old daughter. "What a privilege, I got to play Clara’s dad and be Clara’s dad at the same time."
"I was on set and I was re-inspired by watching her passion and enthusiasm for this thing we do, and the young cast that were around her," the proud dad said. "And I came away feeling filled up by it and wanting more of it myself."
McGregor noted that his daughter Esther, 22, could not make the ceremony because she is currently working on a series in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

"My other two daughters who are not actors are here. Anouk, who's too young to be one yet, is an amazing human being. I don’t know what you’re going to be, but we’ll find out," McGregor said of his 13-year-old daughter.
"Jamyan, my beautiful daughter Jamyan, I’m not going to be acting with Jamyan because Jamyan is going to be a homicide detective," he continued of his 22-year-old. "She is cutting her own path and we’re so proud of you, Jamyan, for everything you’re doing and for the things that you’re going to do with your life."
Lastly, McGregor shouted out his youngest child and only son, Laurie.
"And my little boy, Laurie down here. Laurie! This is Laurie McGregor. Do you want to say hello to everybody?" McGregor said to his 3-year-old son as he turned back to the crowd.
McGregor shares Laurie with Winstead. He shares his four daughters with ex-wife Eve Mavrakis.
In March, McGregor and Winstead appeared on SiriusXM's The Jess Cagle Show and opened up about what life looks like at home with their son Laurie. McGregor, who starred as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars prequel trilogy and reprised the role for the 2022 miniseries Obi-Wan Kenobi, said he was excited to introduce his son to the character of Grogu, otherwise known as Baby Yoda.
"Our little boy, you know, he just doesn't stand a chance, does he? With the Star Wars connection," McGregor began, referencing that Winstead was in the 2023 television series Ahsoka. "His mom and dad are now both..."
"He's already, I mean, we just sort of had The Mandalorian on recently and he was just sort of like, 'Whoa. What is that?' " Winstead chimed in.
Noting that they showed him the series because he loves Grogu, McGregor said that they even tried to bring Laurie to meet the people who puppeteer Grogu.
"All the guys were sort of standing to the side, but making him work with their remote controls and Grogu was interacting with Laurie and he freaked out, like totally lost his s---," the dad of five recalled.
"He was terrified," Winstead added. "He didn't want to go near it because he was very little at the time, so he was like one and a half, so we were holding him up and putting him towards Grogu and he was climbing away. We're like, 'Oh my god. This was not the reaction we had hoped for.'"
