Ex-GMA Meteorologist Rob Marciano Lands at CBS News
Rob Marciano is making a comeback.
The longtime ABC News meteorologist, who appeared on Good Morning America and ABC World News Tonight With David Muir, has landed at CBS. He first appeared on air at the network during the Oct. 8 edition of CBS Evening News, reporting from Tampa, Fla., as part of the network’s Hurricane Milton coverage.

Marciano’s new job was first reported in Oliver Darcy’s Status newsletter.
Marciano’s hire comes eight months after it was first reported that he was no longer employed at ABC due to complaints of “improper behavior,” and 15 months after the weatherman initially stepped away from his duties on GMA’s weekend editions.
Before his 10-year stint at ABC, Marciano served as co-host of Entertainment Tonight. Prior to that, he anchored for CNN, where he appeared on Early Start and Starting Point.
CBS News has made a number of big changes as of late. In August, it was confirmed that John Dickerson and Maurice DuBois will replace Norah O’Donnell on CBS Evening News later this year. The network also parted ways with former Evening News anchor-turned-Saturday Morning host Jeff Glor amid a wave of layoffs; his final broadcast aired Sept. 28.
