Exclusive Casting News: Soap Vet Jordi Vilasuso Joins The Bay

Soap veteran Jordi Vilasuso, who has starred on many soaps – All My Children as Griffin, Days of Our Lives as Dario, Guiding Light as Tony, and The Young and the Restless as Rey – is bringing his immense talent to The Bay!

The actor will be joining the show as a series regular in the role of Justin Ramos, who hasn’t been seen since season five and was previously played by David Lago, who starred as Raul on Y&R.

“I have known about The Bay for years and have met Gregori throughout my career. When he asked me to join the show as [the new] Justin Ramos, I was thrilled. Having the chance to work with A Martinez again and the rest of the incredible cast is exciting,” Vilasuso told Soap Hub.

“I have known Jordi for a while and have always loved his work. I am grateful to have him join the show as Justin,” Gregori said.

Vilasuso won a Daytime Emmy in 2003 as Outstanding Younger Actor for his role as Tony on GL. He scored additional Emmy nominations in 2002 for Outstanding Younger Actor for GL and 2022 for Outstanding Supporting Actor for Y&R. He was also nominated in 2020 & 2021 for Favorite Y&R Actor for the Soap Hub Awards.

The Bay is nominated for five Daytime Emmys this year, including Outstanding Drama Series at this year’s ceremony, which will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024.
