Experts Claim Why Jennifer Lopez & Ben Affleck ‘Really Want to Move’ Out of Their $68 Million Home
For weeks, fans have been getting hints here and there about Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s alleged separation. We’ve heard things from insiders, seen them without their wedding rings, and now, their mega mansion is officially on the market. Insiders have been hinting that this could happen, but now that it’s happening, fans are freaking out. And experts claim that the reason they did it may show how quickly they want this relationship to end.
For those who need a recap, back in May 2023, Lopez and Affleck bought a huge LA property for $60.8 million. Then, in July 2024, they listed the 12-bedroom and 24-bath home for $68 million. Per the listing via Realtor, it says, “Recently renovated with the highest level of quality within the last 4 months,” calling it a “newly rebuilt and expanded masterpiece.”

But let’s talk about that price. Beverly Hills luxury real estate agent Josh Flagg recently told People that since Lopez and Affleck listed the home “relatively close to what they paid for it,” it’s clear that “they really want to move the property.”
He added, “Generally, people do not sell their primary residence a year after they buy it unless there is a divorce, a death, or some kind of desperation. I’m also going to take (a guess) that they’re not going to walk out of this making money. They’re going to either break even or take a small loss.”
For those who don’t know, Lopez and Affleck fell in love on the set of the film Gigli. They appeared in a couple more projects together, and got engaged by the end of 2002, per People. In 2003, they postponed their wedding and then broke up days before, due to the paparazzi and pressure they faced, and were broken up by 2004.
Fast forward to 2021, Lopez and Affleck rekindled their romance. A year later, they got engaged and married in a lavish ceremony, but as of July 2024, it seems clear that trouble is definitely afoot in their romance.
