Fairly OddParents fans, Nickelodeon just granted a wish you probably didn’t even know you had.

Monday’s episode of The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish introduced a grown-up version of Cosmo and Wanda’s baby Poof, and he’s changed quite a bit since the original cartoon series ended back in 2017.

For starters, he doesn’t go by “Poof” anymore. “I changed my name to Peri, like periwinkle,” he explains in the clip below. In addition to being his signature color, it’s also presumably a nod to Fairywinkle, his mother’s maiden name.

As for his grown-up look, Peri displays a combination of traits he inherited from both of his parents. His hair features Wanda’s signature swirl, while his thick eyebrows were undeniably passed down from Cosmo. In addition to rocking suspenders, his fairy wand is reminiscent of the rattle he carried around as a baby.

Professionally speaking, Peri is the fairy godfather of a new character named Dev, whom he promises to take “from Dev to Dev-ine!” Cosmo and Wanda’s grown-up son is voiced by Eric Bauza, who also provided the voice for Foop, the Anti-Fairy version of Poof, in the original series. (It’s a long story. But if you know, you know.)

Poof was first introduced in the Season 6 premiere of The Fairly OddParents, titled “Fairly Odd Baby,” back in 2008. The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish is a continuation of the original series, which relocates fairy godparents Cosmo and Wanda from Dimsdale to Dimmadelphia, where they’re now watching over a 10-year-girl named Hazel.
