Faith-Based Pinnacle Peak Pictures Launching ‘The Last Supper’ & ‘Between Borders’ For International Sales – AFM

Faith-based Pinnacle Peak Pictures, previously Pure Flix Entertainment, is adding two new theatrical films to its international sales slate for AFM 2024, The Last Supper and Between Borders.

There’s been no lagging of interest in faith-based films, which have the potential to hit big. (Angel Studios Sound Of Freedom grossed $120 million globally.) The Last Supper is set in the days leading to betrayal, where a gathering of disciples unravels into a web of secrets and hidden motives. The film was directed by Mauro Borrelli, who co-wrote it with John Collins. It was produced by Shawn Boskie, Ivan Cohen, Manu Gargi, Ken Halsband, and Michael Scott.

It is tentatively set for domestic theatrical release on 600-1,000 screens in March of 2025 in time for the Easter season.

Between Borders follows the struggle of an Armenian family leaving their home as the Soviet Union collapses. It stars Elizabeth Tabish (The Chosen, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever), Patrick Sabongui (The Flash, Godzilla), Stelio Savante (The Chosen, Nefarious), with Michael Paul Chan(The Goonies, The Glass House), and Elizabeth Mitchell (The Purge: Election Year, The Santa Clause 2).

Directed by Mark Freiburger, who co-wrote with Isaac Norris and Adam Sjoberg. Producers are Jude S. Walko, Isaac Norris, Mark Freiburger and Ken Carpenter.

It’s set for release on 1,000 screens in January.

“The producers of both projects have delivered compelling, powerful and expertly made films that we’re excited to share with the world,” said Pinnacle Peak’s VP International Sales & Distribution Ron Gell. “Audiences are looking for films with inspiring stories and top-notch acting, which both films deliver, so we’re looking forward to a busy AFM.”

Other films on the Pinnacle slate including God’s Not Dead: In God We Trust (the fifth film in the hit series), Average Joe, Forty-Seven Days With Jesus and Disciples in the Moonlight.
