Fall Festival concert lineup announced
Sep. 11—GREENSBURG — The Tree City Fall Festival Committee has announced a rather impressive musical lineup for the annual event that's scheduled for September 20 and 21 on the Square in downtown Greensburg.
Jesse Keith Whitley opens at 6:45 p.m. Friday on the Fall Festival Main Stage. Jesse is the son of the late Keith Whitley and Laurie Morgan. According to www.bandsintown.com, Jesse is country to the core with "rock and roll's rebellious reputation."
At 8:45 p.m. Friday, American Blonde, featuring Louisiana sisters Natalia (Nata) and Christina (Tinka), take the Main Stage bringing "a powerhouse of talent and a testament to the Delta roots that nurtured them." Attendees can expect high energy country, rock & roll and the blues.
Saturday night's dual headliners are Silver Springs — A Fleetwood Mac Experience tribute band at 6 p.m. and Midnight Blue — The Foreigner Experience tribute band at 8:30 p.m.
Silver Springs — A Fleetwood Mac Experience covers more than four decades of the best Fleetwood Mac songs ever recorded. Staying true to the sound, vibe and the look of Fleetwood Mac, the band covers the legendary English band from their Grammy winning Rumors release all the way through Stevie Nicks' solo greats like Edge of Seventeen and Stand Back.
Foreigner's legendary '80s hits like Cold as Ice, Urgent and I Want to Know What Love Is are covered in the driving style of this tribute band. It's as if the classic rock and roll voice of Mick Jones was reborn.
