Falsettos will return to Broadway this fall
New York will be singing “Welcome To Falsettoland” again this fall, when Lincoln Center Theater teams with Jujamcyn Theaters to help bring the Tony Award-winning musical Falsettos back to Broadway.
The production, helmed by original director James Lapine, will be produced by André Bishop and will reunite the original team of Lapine and composer and lyricist William Finn. Falsettos tells the story of Marvin, who, after leaving his wife Trina for his lover Whizzer, struggles with the many complex relationships in his life, including with his son Jason and his psychologist Mendel.
The 2016 production of Falsettos boasts a creative team that includes choreography by Spencer Liff, sets by David Rockwell, costumes by Jennifer Caprio, and musical direction by Vadim Feichtner. Casting will be announced at a later date.
