Fan Quickly Arrested After Being Recognized During On-Stage Macklemore Duet

A fan of Macklemore apparently forgot that she was wanted by police when she jumped at the opportunity to perform with him on-stage during the Lovestream Music Festival in Vajnory, Slovakia earlier this week.

According to the Polícia Slovenskej republiky, who detailed the incident on Facebook on Aug. 19, the woman in question, 24, was in the audience during Macklemore's set when she was somehow selected to join him on stage to sing alongside him. It wasn't immediately clear how or why she was brought on stage, though the police force shared a blurred-out photo of the woman singing into the microphone while the rapper stood with his arm wrapped around her shoulders.

She "apparently enjoyed the joint performance with her idol," per the social media platform's translation, so much so that she forgot she was meant to be laying low for an undisclosed crime, though TMZ reports that it all stems from an unpaid fine received after running shirtless through a 2019 football match.

The translation isn't perfect, but from the looks of it, someone else in the crowd recognized the woman after seeing her photo on a local Crime Stoppers-style website and alerted law enforcement to her presence.

Nearby officers quickly responded to the stage and apparently waited for her to finish her performance before detaining her over a court-issued "order to impose imprisonment" that she had been "avoiding." Police are said to have "subsequently escorted [her] to the premises of the institution for imprisonment."

They appear to have done so subtly, as Parade failed to dig up any footage of the arrest.
