Fans Beg Kelly Clarkson to Tackle Taylor Swift's New Hit Song After Latest Kellyoke Cover
Kelly Clarkson and Taylor Swift
After Kelly Clarkson debuted her newest cover during the "Kellyoke" segment of her daytime talk show, fans were desperate to hear her do another rendition of a Taylor Swift song.
The inspiration came from a cover of Olivia Rodrigo's "bad idea right?" from her sophomore album Guts. The punky rock track is about going back and forth about hooking up with an ex and then hiding it from your friends, which Clarkson and her background singers, as always, totally nailed.
The new cover led one follower to question why they've never seen the talk show host cover the "Karma" songstress. Fans quickly informed them that Clarkson previously performed a few of the Eras Tour songstress' songs, including an emotional cover of "Clean" that left them destroyed.
"Imagine Kelly singing 'who's afraid of little old me?'" another wrote, crossing their fingers for the brand new track off of The Tortured Poets Department. "AMAZING."
"it would be the perfect song for a kellyoke," someone else agreed, while another asserted, "Omg. I NEED THAT."
Another Swiftie suggested "a slowed down version of 'I can do it with a broken heart,'" hoping for Clarkson to "take this fun song and make it sad ??," while another threw in "Don't Blame Me," from Reputation.
We'd like to throw "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived" into the mix—specifically the live version with the gut-wrenching opt-up on the bridge, should Clarkson or her people happen to be reading!
