Fans Call ‘Baby' Simone Biles a ‘Firecracker’ After Childhood Gymnastics Video Surfaces
As Simone Biles continues her great run at the 2024 Paris Olympics, her fans took a trip down memory lane when a video from her childhood surfaced showing the star reacting to a failed vault attempt.
In the clip, which was shared by comedian Loni Love on Instagram, a very young Biles attempted a vault trick that she didn't land, and the little girl was clearly upset about the failure. While her coach seemed to comfort her, Biles couldn't help but pout a little as she walked away.
Love wrote, "Look at baby Simone!!!! Biles officially became the most decorated American gymnast in the history of the Olympic Games with eight medals!!!!"
Text over the clip read, "Watch tiny Simone Biles getting upset at falling on her fault."
Fans loved the cute moment, with replies like, "I love her reaction because it made her the greatest gymnast ?? she is today," and "She said I bet you I won’t fall again????????."
"She still a lil firecracker! ??," said another, while someone else shared, "I'm saving this for my 7 year old who takes gymnastics now. Lesson: we all fall, but we get back up and look at her NOW!"
A different fan noted, "Falling builds character!! And we now get to see the outcome! ??."
Biles and the U.S. women's Olympics team, which also includes Suni Lee, Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey and Hezly Rivera, won gold at the team finals on July 30. The win made Biles the most decorated U.S. Olympic gymnast in history, surpassing Shannon Miller.
Next up, Biles and Lee will represent the U.S.A. in the all-around finals on Thursday, Aug. 1. Biles has reportedly not lost an all-around competition since 2013, making her the one to beat in the highly anticipated competition.
