Fans Can't Get Enough of Anna Delvey's 'DWTS' Promo Photo: 'Absolute Perfection'

On the morning of Sept. 4, ABC finally revealed the full cast for Dancing with the Stars Season 33, and, as expected, fans had some strong thoughts about the lineup.

One of the most controversial contestants now confirmed to be joining the show is Anna Delvey. 

The convicted con artist—known for pretending to be an heiress to become a part of the New York City social scene—is paired up with professional dancer Ezra Sosa, and fans wasted absolutely no time time sharing their thoughts on the casting, with many commenting on an interesting detail in her promotional photo.

"Anna Delvey having to wear an ankle monitor in her #DWTS promo photo is absolute perfection," wrote one fan in reaction to the photo of Delvey posing in a glittery dress with the ankle monitor as an accessory, while others said, "what a queen," and "This is the mess we love ??????."

But not everyone was a fan of the casting, with a few contrasting comments being, "Isn’t this supposed to be a family show? Can’t make this stuff up," and "I just cannot. This girl better be the first one get voted off."

Fans also quickly rallied behind the few Olympic athletes announced as cast members like Ilona Maher and Stephen Nedoroscik, who became known as the pommel horse guy after the 2024 Olympics.

Some fans were even convinced to tune in to a show they don't normally watch, with replies like, "WAIT POMMEL HORSE GUY AND ILONA MAHER ARE ON DANCING WITH THE STARS? damn I’ll watch this season now," and "Stephen AND Ilona on Dancing with the Stars this season?! I don’t usually watch it but going to have to."

Another cast member who drew some negative comments from fans was actor actress Julia Roberts' brother, Eric Roberts, with someone writing, "Sorry but Eric Roberts being on Dancing with the Stars is more unwell than Anna Delvey."

Also in the cast are football player Danny Amendola, The Bachelor’s Joey Graziadei, NBA star Dwight Howard, actress Chandler Kinney, The Bachelorette's Jenn Tran, actor Reginald VelJohnson, Phaedra Parks and Brooks Nader.

Overall, the consensus seems to be that most people are intrigued by the interesting and wide-ranging cast for the upcoming DWTS season and are excited to see what's in store.
