Fans Can't Get Enough of Travis Kelce Roasting Patrick Mahomes With 'Spot on' Voice Imitation
With back-to-back Super Bowl wins under their belts, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are a dynamic duo on the field. The Kansas City Chiefs teammates are also known to give each other a hard time off the field—and fans are obsessed with the tight end recently roasting the quarterback with a "spot on" voice imitation.
On Saturday, Aug. 17, the Chiefs faced off against the Detroit Lions in a home preseason game. A highlight was when Mahomes threw an impromptu pass behind his back that Kelce caught.
"Long story short, Travis didn't run the route he was supposed to run," Mahomes said of the play in a post-game interview the NFL shared via X. "And then it was kind of a behind-the-back pass kind of because I was mad. I was p---ed off at Travis."
In a separate sideline interview posted on X, Kelce gave his side of the story—during which he did the impression of Mahomes.
"You know he's got the voice thing," Kelce said before imitating his teammate's nasally tone. "So he kind of mumbled out the play. I couldn't hear it. I was walking up to the line and was like trying to decipher what we was saying."

The tight end continued: "Before I knew it, he snapped the ball. Yeah, and then I saw him out of my peripheral run to the sideline. So I was trying to go help my guy out. By the time I looked over there, he was already in mid-form like a photo on a sports card throwing the ball to me. So I guess right place at the right time."
In the comments, fans couldn't help but react to Kelce's fairly accurate impression. One person wrote, "No way Kelce just called Mahomes Kermit the Frog."
A different X user commented, "ok, Kelce's imitation is spot on. And hilarious," while someone else echoed, "Can we talk about how good that impression was tho?"
"I love these two," another fan declared.
Meanwhile, someone else pointed out, "The best teammates are the ones that roast you those are the ones who will have your back through thick and thin!!"
