Fans Are Convinced Travis Kelce’s Latest Outfit Choice Proves He & Taylor Swift Are More Serious Than We Thought
If you’re a fan of Taylor Swift, or are at least aware of the nation of Swifties who love to obsess over her every move, you know that she’s all about the so-called “easter eggs.” Whether it’s in her outfits on red carpets or her subtle Instagram captions, Swift loves to drop some clues about her next steps for fans to puzzle back together. And, in Swift’s latest outing, it wasn’t her outfit that suggested something, but it was her rumored beau Travis Kelce’s instead.
On Sept 24, while Kelce played in the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Chicago Bears in Kansas City, Missouri, Swift watched her rumored new fling from the VIP section. The “Lover” singer, who watched the game alongside the tight end’s mother, Donna Kelce, kept it casual in a white tank top, black denim shorts from KSUBI and a red Chiefs jacket.

After the game, which ended in a landslide win for the Chiefs, Kelce was seen walking out of the stadium with Swift after a quick outfit change. And, since a video of them walking went viral on TikTok, fans have been quick to find a Swift-approved easter egg in his outfit.
As it turns out, Kelce was wearing a matching set called the “1989 BEDROOM PAINTING SET” from the brand KidSuper Studios. Sounds familiar? That’s right, Kelce’s blue and white look directly referenced Swift’s upcoming album, 1989 (Taylor’s Version), which she announced in early August.

“Why is this the cutest thing I have ever seen? He’s promoting her new album!” a fan said on TikTok. “I wonder if Taylor picked the outfit for him, or maybe collaborated with his stylist or something?”
As revealed by TMZ, however, the brand only changed the outfit’s name to include the 1989 reference after he wore it. So, to the disappointment of fans, this wasn’t a Swift-approved easter egg after all. It looked, however, still pretty cool.
Prior to Kelce and Swift’s first public appearance together, the player’s brother Jason Kelce confirmed their romance. “I think things are going great and I think it’s 100 percent true,” he told Daily Mail surrounding the rumors. So happy for these two!
