Fans Don't Even Recognize Kylie Jenner in Her New 'Vogue' Cover Photo: 'Susan Lucci As Far As I’m Concerned'

As someone who grew up on one of the most popular reality TV series of all time, Kylie Jenner is no stranger to having her looks criticized by the general public. So it's no surprise that her new magazine cover photo is facing some backlash on social media from people who say she seems decades older in the pic.

Jenner made her British Vogue debut on the cover of the publication's September 2024 issue—titled "The Big Fashion Issue"—and readers have mixed feelings about her appearance.

On X, one person who shared the cover image went so far as to compare her to 77-year-old soap opera queen Susan Lucci.

Many commenters agreed with the original poster, as one commented writing, "Oof she looks so much older! ??."

"Yup her mom literally has these girls look like old school soap opera stars," wrote one person, though a second X user expressed compassion for Jenner, writing, "It always makes me feel kinda bad that Kylie was one of the biggest victims of beauty standards, then she got surgery and created new beauty standards and now she has to face the repercussions of all that surgery."

Several commenters came to Jenner's defense on Instagram, where British Vogue also shared their cover.

Jenner isn't immune to all the chatter about her appearance, as she broke down in tears on a June episode of The Kardashians on Hulu while talking to sister Kendall about the rumors she'd been using fillers after Paris Fashion Week.

"It’s a miracle I still have confidence and can still look in the mirror and still think I'm pretty," Jenner said.

“I went on a journey last year dissolving half of my lip filler,” she continued. "I hate even having this conversation over and over and over again. It feels like it’s a waste of my breath because I think, with me, it is never going to change.”
