His lively onstage presentation isn't the only thing that made it a big night for the rising star, who formerly served time in a juvenile delinquent center and has openly shared inspiration for others—including when it comes to battling addiction, mental health and as of late, weight loss.
Jelly Roll is nominated in the coveted category of Entertainer of the Year, a first-time addition to the group of artists hoping to take home the biggest award of the night. He is the first to be nominated for the distinction in his first year of receiving nominations since Billy Ray Cyrus during the 1993 ACMs, according to Billboard.
This, in addition to being up for Single of the Year for "Need a Favor," Music Event of the Year for "Save Me" with Lainey Wilson, as well as Male Artist of the Year.
"It's just f---ing unbelievable," the country crooner (born Jason DeFord) candidly told People after learning of his four nods.
The annual Reba McEntire-hosted function saw several other heavy hitters perform for country music fans, including the "Heart Like A Truck" songstress, Kelsea Ballerini, Noah Kahan and Kane Brown.
