Fans Gush Over Mariska Hargitay’s ‘Love Story’ With Peter Hermann on Big Anniversary

Mariska Hargitay and her husband, Peter Hermann, are marking a milestone anniversary this year, and fans are just as eager to celebrate as they are!

On Wednesday, Aug. 28, the longtime Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star took to Instagram to share a sweet capture of the duo on their wedding day.

The black-and-white image, which was a bit pixelated, found the newlyweds standing at the top of a staircase, just outside the door of what looked to be a church building.

The pair clasped hands as they victoriously held their arms up in the sky, joyfully smiling from ear to ear.

"Happiest of anniversary to NYC’s hottest couple ?????? hope you’ve got many Hugos on the go x," one wrote in the comment section of the upload, while another top-liked comment note, "Happy 20th!!!! You deserve it??????."

"My example of a couple. May God always bless your union. And I hope to find a love as beautiful as this. You are wonderful! ??," a third added.

"Iconic picture of an iconic couple. Happy 20th Anniversary to the Royal couple! ???? Here's to many more blessings!" someone else said, and another followed up with, "And your love story continues. Congratulations. ??"

Several more fans simply sent classic well wishes their way for a "happy anniversary."

The pair of actors tied the knot on Aug. 28, 2004, in Santa Barbara, Calif., after two years of dating, and have since added three children to their family: daughter Amaya, 12, and sons August, 17, and Andrew, 11.
