Fans Say Hoda Kotb Is a ‘Proud Mama’ Cheering on the Olympic Women’s Gymnastics Team in Energetic Video
As fans watch along at home in the United States, Hoda Kotb is on the ground in Paris, France to cover the 2024 Olympics, and fans can't get over her love and support for the team.
Kotb shared a new video via Instagram on July 28 after the women's gymnastics team—consisting of Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey, Suni Lee and Hezly Rivera—completed their qualifiers, with the Today host enthusiastically cheering for the young women in the U.S. team and exchanging high fives as they walked by, leading fans to call Kotb the "best team mom."
"Our girls are doing it! This was right after prelims! Go @usagym @simonebiles @jordanchiles @jadecarey @sunisalee @hezrivera We are cheering you on!" she wrote in the caption.
"Thank you Hoda for cheering them on for those of us watching at home. You have the best energy ??," wrote one fan thankful for Kotb's earnest enthusiasm.
"Best team mom right there ??," said another, while a third proclaimed, "Love watching Hoda every time. She’s a proud mama cheering them on ????."

Kotb will be in Paris covering the Olympics throughout its whole run, and she has been keeping fans up to date on everything going on.
Kotb and Today also shared some "Hoda Cam" moments as the 59-year-old watched the events live, with Kotb's intense energy on full display.
Along with Kotb, fellow Today anchors Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin and Al Roker are also in France to report on the international games.
