Fans Say Kelly Clarkson's New, 'Flawless' Cover Is Making 'The Hairs on the Back of My Neck Stand Up'
Kelly Clarkson somehow manages to one-up herself each time she takes on a new song for her Kellyoke segment on The Kelly Clarkson Show, and this time around, she nailed her cover of "Angel" by Aerosmith.
Wearing a black flared jumpsuit with her hair tied back, Clarkson stunned as she belted the song's high notes in a video of the performance shared on Instagram.
Fans declared the cover "Flawless! ??" and "Magnificent!" as someone else wrote, "She makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up every single time I listen to her. ?????????."
"WOW ???? Kelly is an angel with a golden voice ????," said another fan of Clarkson, while fans of the Aerosmith track joined in on the praise, writing things like, "My fave song of theirs and you killed it as usual ????."
"This has been my favorite Aerosmith song since I was a little kid. Love it," a different fan replied.
"Angel" was the third single from the band's 1987 album, Permanent Vacation.
Throughout her many Kellyoke performances, Clarkson has taken on a wide range of musical styles, yet fans think she can cover anything, with frequent comments on her videos like, "She can sing the phone book."
Some of her most recent covers include "You're Still The One" by Shania Twain, Miley Cyrus' "Flowers," and the song "Wild" from her former The Voice co-judge John Legend.
As for her own music, Clarkson's most recent release was "From The Jump," a song with James Arthur that was released as a track on his album Bitter Sweet Love.
Her last full album was Chemistry, which came out in early 2023. Around the same time, she began a Las Vegas residency that went through the summer, before starting the new season of her talk show in the fall.
