Ginger Zee
Ginger Zee recently got all dolled up, and fans are loving the ultra-glam moment from the Good Morning America cohost.
On Wednesday, May 8, the broadcaster took to Instagram with a set of images showing herself in casual attire, alongside a photo once she was dressed and ready to attend a special event.
In the first capture, Zee held up a semi-formal dress in front of her, while her hair was thrown into a loose high bun as she leisurely donned shorts with a tank and sneakers. The photo beside it displayed her complete transformation—a body-hugging ruched spaghetti strap dress with a thigh-high slit, hair worn down straight with neutral makeup to complete the fabulous look.

The caption of the social media post provided insight into the reason behind the dressy ensemble.
"This past weekend we had a family wedding and because I am usually on the run I had somehow missed the note that we were wearing shades of a certain dress…" she opened. "So, once I realized this and couldn’t find one to rent, I turned to the borrow part of life I’ve learned from no new clothes challenge(it will be 2 years in June)."
She continued: "@samwnek had the brilliant idea that I post in a female Facebook meteorologists group and @sheasorensonwx came to the rescue."
When a fan left a comment inquiring about the challenge the meteorologist mentioned, the TV personality explained that she has committed to not buying any new clothes "for the protection of women’s workers and the toll of fashion on the environment."
"The dress was gorgeous and I was able to look the part for my sisters wedding AND stick with no new clothes. Thanks so much Shea! Also her sweet baby Georgia was not Sure about this strange lady taking her mom’s dress… but I’ll clean and get it back - promise ??," her upload further shared.
Fans showered Zee with compliments on the look, with one saying she "looks great!"
"OMG and it fit you perfectly and you look stunning as always! Great color on you too btw!" another gushed, while a third insisted, "That dress looks like it was made for you! Perfect ????."
Someone else applauded "Women supporting each other," and yet another shared their own experience: "?????? trying to encourage my daughters this especially for formals when they are going to wear once!"
Meanwhile, one fan in particular appreciated her move toward sustainability and support of women, writing, "That is a phenomenal idea. Why buy something new when you can borrow it from someone else. 2 years and no new clothes is very impressive. ????????"—and we have to say, this concept is something we can definitely get behind!
