Fans Think Aaron Taylor-Johnson's Controversial Marriage Is Over After Spotting This Clue
Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Sam Taylor-Johnson are no strangers to speculation about their marriage but this latest rumor might spell trouble for the couple.
Fans of the Avengers: Age of Ultron star are typically not very supportive of his relationship with the Fifty Shades of Grey director due to their 23-year age gap. In the latest bout of scrutiny on the Taylor-Johnsons, social media users are speculating that the couple might have split after Aaron, 34, was spotted without his wedding ring.

In photos obtained by The Mirror, which were also shared widely on social media, the actor was seen out and about in London with nothing on his ring finger. Aaron was dressed down in a grey sweater, dark green pants and a baseball cap. He was busily taking a phone call while exiting a dinner in West London alone as paparazzi snapped photos of him.
The casual outing might suggest that he simply left his wedding ring at home for the night but that didn’t stop social media users from sharing celebratory videos online.
“Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been seen in London without his wedding ring on,” wrote one TikTok user. “War is over?”
“Aaron Taylor-Johnson was seen without his wedding ring and literally the whole world cheered,” said another X user.
It might be too soon for these fans to celebrate because Aaron did have his wedding ring on when he stepped out at the Venice Film Festival for the premiere of Battlefield on August 31. The couple were last seen together at Wimbledon in July.
The actor also defended his relationship with his wife as recently as March in an interview with Rolling Stone.
“What you gotta realize is that what most people were doing in their 20s, I was doing when I was 13,” Aaron told the publication, offering a rare response to the discourse about the age-gap in his marriage. “You’re doing something too quickly for someone else? I don’t understand that. What speed are you supposed to enjoy life at? It’s bizarre to me.”
Aaron and Sam met around 2008 when she directed him as a young John Lennon in Nowhere Boy. At the time, Aaron would have been 17 or 18 while Sam was 42. They got engaged in 2009, welcomed their first daughter, Wylda Rae, together in 2010. Their second daughter, Romy Hero, was born in 2012 and they tied the knot that same year. Sam also has two older daughters from her first marriage.
Sam has also defended their age-gap, telling The Daily Beast in 2019, “We’ve been together for over a decade now, so I feel like it is less of a conversation for people.”
“It doesn’t worry me, and it’s not something that is difficult to talk about because it’s such a positive story, that we’re a decade later together and working together and raising a strong family together. That may be a positive message for people out there.”
