Fans Want Eugene and Dan Levy to Get ‘Lifetime Hosting Contract’ After Emmys Hosting Monologue
The 2024 Emmy Awards had two new faces as hosts, with father-son duo Eugene and Dan Levy taking the stage for the major event.
Eugene and Dan are both four-time Emmy winners, with the former winning as both an actor and creator of Schitt's Creek and a writer for SCTV Network. Dan won all four of his Emmys for Schitt's Creek, taking home awards for his work as a creator, actor, director and writer on the show.
The father and son duo took on the Hollywood awards show with style and energy, beginning the Emmys with jokes about all the nominated projects that had the audience earnestly laughing as they showed off their charming relationship.
One of the fan-favorite jokes was when they quipped about The Bear being in the comedy category, with the Levys saying, "I know some of you might be expecting us to make a joke about whether The Bear is really a comedy, but in the true spirit of The Bear, we will not be making any jokes."
