Farrah Abraham mourns dying dog, just after pulling an upsetting prank about a dog dying

Farrah Abraham is doing something that anyone, especially a pet owner, can sympathize with — mourning a beloved pet. But not everyone is offering their support.

The controversial former Teen Mom star shared an emotional video that shows her and her 9-year-old daughter, Sophia, in tears as they say their final goodbyes to their beloved Pomeranian, Blue.

“We’re here with our man, Blue, who has just been everything for us,” Abraham says in the clip, struggling to get the words out. “We are so happy that we could be with Blue during his last little moments, and work this out and figure this out. This is like our first puppy that we’ve ever lost. Sophia and I have been through a lot of firsts. It’s been crazy. It’s been crazy. And I’m so thankful for this little guy. And I know my little princess is so thankful too. And I always, like, try to make light of this, but this is like the most special little Pomeranian we’ve ever had in our life.”

Blue’s death was unexpected. In the caption to her video, Abraham explained what happened to the pet who she and Sophia have shared for the past five years.

“He passed away tonight at around 8:35pm after after being put down around his dog door to go out to potty on his balcony and literally no noise! no signs! and Sophia sees him just stop moving and she try’s to figure out what is going on & yells for me I’m in disbelief and she hands me my half limp Blue,” Abraham wrote. “Thinking low sugar, we grab syrup and water, his eyes looking at me as if he’s talking but his tongue can’t move and his body can’t but I see in his eyes he loves seeing his water and food and light of all the food and I feel his heart beating and we’re giving him love but as his body goes limper we call the Emergencey vet and rush to the Emergencey hospital and no heart beat found was found.”

While Abraham’s story is a sad one, the internet had mixed emotions. That’s because one day before Blue’s death, she reportedly encouraged Sophia to prank another kid by telling the kid that her own dog had died in a now-deleted social media post. The so-called joke would have been part of Sophia’s upcoming online show, called Kids Dare, which Abraham described as “a mix between Punk’d and funniest home videos.”

The timing was not lost on people clicking on Abraham’s video.

“U guys did the prank on a little kids telling them that there dogs died now karma is paying u back by having ur dog really die am sad for the dog but not for u guys,” wrote brittanylato2120.

Bncvaldez: “Wouldn’t you say this is karma? Since you just made a joke out about a dead dog??”

There was also a lot of backlash over Abraham’s sharing the grieving video at all.

On Instagram, tcvoirol87 wrote, “Its so sad what social media has come to today. no one has private moments anymore. some moments are meant to not be filmed and placed for everyone to see. its disgusting.”

According to Abraham’s post, she plans to have Blue’s body stuffed, so she can keep it on a shelf.
