What is Danielle Savre doing after Station 19?

Just one month after she wrapped her seven-season run as lieutenant Maya Bishop on Station 19, Danielle Savre has booked a new role. The actress will be moving over to NBC to recur on Season 2 of the network’s newest drama, Found.

The series debuted in October 2023 and stars Shanola Hampton as Gabi Mosely, the leader of a crisis management firm specializing in locating abduction victims that are being neglected, if not ignored completely, by law enforcement and mainstream media. Her career choice was inspired by her own experience of being abducted as a child by her former english teacher, Sir (Mark-Paul Gosselaar). Gabi also holds one major secret: She’s been keeping Sir captive in her basement and using his insights to solve the firm’s missing person cases.

Found also stars Kelli Williams as Margaret Reed; Brett Dalton as Detective Mark Trent; Gabrielle Walsh as Lacey Quinn; Arlen Escarpeta as Zeke Wallace and Karan Oberoi as Dhan Rana. The show earned an early Season 2 renewal in November 2023 and will return in Fall 2024, though an exact premiere date has not been set.

Savre’s role on the drama is being kept under wraps and its unclear how many episodes she will appear in. Season 2 has also cast Dionne Gipson as a recurring character who is close with Gabi and Michael Cassidy as a grief counselor with controversial ties to Gabi’s past.

Season 1 ended with Dhan finding out Gabi’s secret and Sir escaping from her basement. The latter then vowed to kill Lacey, another one of his captives from the early 2000s whom he blames for Gabi escaping decades prior.

While fans are excited that they’ll be seeing Savre again on their screens this fall, they’re still not giving up hope for a Station 19 spin-off and neither is Savre. “I agree with a spinoff. It’s been nice,” Savre told TV Insider after the Season 7 finale. She added of fan-favorite couple Maya and Carina DeLuca (Stefania Spampinato), affectionately dubbed “Marina” by fans:  “Marina lives on with the fans if it doesn’t live on with us. I’m excited to see – some of the fan fiction has been pretty dead on.”

The series finale ended with the married pair, who share adopted son Liam, learning that Carina is expecting their second child following a difficult pregnancy journey. A flash forward was also included, in which viewers learn that Maya is now the captain of Station 19 and leading a new team of firefighters.

Since Carina originated on Grey’s Anatomy, fans are also hoping to see more of the duo on the flagship series. As of right now, there are no plans for Carina to return to Grey’s Anatomy, but the medical drama will be getting Ben Warren (Jason George) back in Season 21!
