Federales Fest in Baton Rouge: See when, what’s new this year, live music lineup
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Organizers of an early October music festival in Baton Rouge expect doubled attendance for its second year.
Event organizer J. Hover said last year Federales Fest drew in 750 attendees and expects 1,500 to attend this year.
The Federales Fest is set for noon to 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 at Live Oak at Cedar Lodge. It features a lineup of southern music, including country, rock and Americana.
The music lineup has Whitey Morgan and the 78’s, Dragon Smoke, Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country, Taylor Hunnicutt, The Southside Roosters, The Love.Craft Band and Biscuits & Gravy.
Tickets went on sale Friday, July 1. General admission tickets are $75 and VIP Experience tickets are $200. VIP tickets include complimentary food from Soji and City Group Hospitality and drinks throughout the day, according to festival organizers.

Attendees can expect some new changes. Hover said for the event’s second year, there will be a new second stage, a kids zone and a Tequila & Tamale Experience.
Food vendors slated to be at the festival are local restaurants like BLDG5, Chow Yum, Envie Smokehouse, Town Square Pizza and Belli of the Bird.
Proceeds from the festival will go to Be Positive, a local nonprofit that supports Louisiana artists, chefs and musicians.
