Will Ferrell's Son Shares the Most Embarrassing Thing His Dad Has Ever Done

One would have to imagine having Will Ferrell as a parent would have to be both a blessing and a curse. On one hand, the Saturday Night Live alum is about as universally beloved as a public figure can get; on the other hand, he's also Will Ferrell. The funnyman is no stranger to leaning hard into a bit, often managing to keep his composure while others around him squirm uncomfortably.

Case in point, Ferrell's eldest son, Magnus, 20, an aspiring musician, shared a throwback of his dad on TikTok earlier this week. In the first of the two back-to-back images, Magnus shared a selfie from what appears to be his recording studio with the text "Rating: things my dad has done" superimposed over it.

In the second slide, a clearly unamused Magnus, dressed in a checkered suit over black-and-white polka dot shirt, can be standing next to his famous dad looking like an extra from a Shakespeare production. "Dressed as a medieval lord to embarrass me at prom 10000/10," he wrote across that photo.

"True story," Magnus captioned the post, which eventually made its way to X, formerly Twitter.

Ferrell shares three sons with Viveca Paulin, his wife of nearly 24 years; Magnus, Mattias, 17, and Axel, 14.

But this isn't the first time Ferrell has gone viral thanks to—or perhaps more accurately, at the expense of—Magnus. Last October, the 56-year-old crashed a University of Southern California frat party, where his son attends, to guest DJ while inadvertently reprising his role of "Frank the Tank" from his 2003 comedy Old School.

It's unclear how Magnus felt about his dad turning up the party, but suffice to say the rest of the students seemed thrilled.
