Festa Italiana will return to Italian Community Center grounds in Milwaukee this weekend.

This is the second year in a row that the event will opt to use its own property for the festival instead of using Maier Festival Park like it did prior to the pandemic.

For those interested in attending this year's event, here's what you should know.

When is Festa Italiana?

Festa Italiana will take place from Friday through Sunday, Sept. 8-10.

Where is Festa Italiana?

The event takes places at the Italian Community Center grounds, 631 E. Chicago St., in the Third Ward near Maier Festival Park.

How much are tickets for Festa Italiana?

Admission is $10. Children 12 and under receive free admission but must be accompanied by an adult.

Are there bag restrictions for Festa Italiana?

Festa Italiana staff check every bag that enters the event and has restrictions for bag sizes. Any style of bag that is larger than 9" by 10" by 12" is no allowed into the festival grounds. That includes backpacks, purses, handbags, and totes.

Outside food and drinks are also not allowed.

Who are some of the headliners for 2023 Festa Italiana?

The two headliners for Festa Italiana are Generation Z, playing at 9 p.m. on Sept. 8, and Rhythm Kings, playing at 9 p.m. on Sept. 9.

What are some of this year's highlights for Festa Italiana?

Festa Italiana hosts a wide range of events throughout the festival weekend. This includes a bocce tournament on Sept. 10, Milwaukee's best sauce contest, cooking demonstrations from local chefs, a kids pizza-making contest, a canoli eating contest and food and other entertainment all weekend long.

When are the Festa Italiana fireworks?

The fireworks show is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9.
