Final trailer for 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker' leaves Twitter heartbroken
The final trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker premiered during Monday Night Football, and it left some fans heartbroken.
After nine epic films, the "Skywalker Saga" comes to an end with Episode IX and the latest trailer gave some new hints as to how the saga might end.
First, Emperor Palpatine is back. "Long have I waited," said Palpatine over an image of his throne. As the Star Destroyer rises from the ocean, Rey, Chewbacca, Finn, Poe Dameron, and C-3PO board the Millennium Falcon, and a lightsaber duel between Rey and Kylo Ren takes place, Palpatine continues, "And now your coming together is your undoing."
There’s still hope for a Rey and Kylo Ren team up, as we see the two seemingly obliterating a Darth Vader statue with their lightsabers.

Others were in tears over General Leia, who uttered just one word – "Always."

The Leia moment was especially significant because the trailer dropped on what would have been Carrie Fisher's 63rd birthday.
In general, fans are super excited and hyped for the final film in the saga. However, some are having a hard time saying goodbye.
Saying goodbye to the Skywalker saga is going to be hard. They have been a cinema staple for 40+ years. Idk where Disney will go with Star Wars next, but topping this saga is IMPOSSIBLE #TheRiseOfSkywalker pic.twitter.com/PV6AQqfEYA

My entire life I’ve heard how it was supposed to be nine movies.
I was there for the OT, the SEs, the PT, and I don’t think I’m prepared for this to end. #TheRiseOfSkywalker pic.twitter.com/LON6z6CpWc— Jeremy Conrad (@ManaByte) October 22, 2019
