Finally! Dwayne Johnson and Oprah are 'running mates'
Dwayne Johnson and Oprah Winfrey are getting into the race just before the Iowa Caucus. Well, not that race.
“Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” Johnson asks Oprah in a new Super Bowl commercial for Weight Watchers. “I’m in,” Oprah replies, with a fist bump to boot.
The commercial features the two A-listers on treadmills as Johnson gets hit with an epiphany. They’re both already running. They’re both already mates. So why not make it official? The commercial dropped during the lead up to the Super Bowl on Sunday. Like every year, the 2020 Super Bowl commercials have been filled with stars, including Chris Evans, Missy Elliott, Chis Rock, and cartoon characters Rick & Morty.
This isn’t’ the first time Johnson has teased a run for the presidency. In 2017, he addressed rumors on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that he was considering running. “I gotta tell you, I’m so incredibly flattered,” he told the host. “A lot of people want to see better leadership today. More poise, less noise.”
Dwayne was most recently in Jumanji: The Next Level alongside Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan. He will be in the upcoming Disney film Jungle Cruise, costarring with A Quiet Place Part II star Emily Blunt.
