Get a First Look at 'The Voice' Season 25's Playoffs with Country Artist Tae Lewis
Tae Lewis
The Voice Season 25 Playoffs begin Monday night when the five remaining artists from John Legend and Dan + Shay’s teams will compete for the three spots on each team for the Live Shows.
NBC did an early release on country artist Tae Lewis’s performance of “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight” by Randy Houser. Tae had originally been on Reba McEntire’s team but when she let him go in the Knockouts, Dan + Shay used their Steal to land him.
Will the 32-year-old from Goldsboro, NC’s performance be enough to earn him one of the coveted three spots in the Lives for Team Dan + Shay?
When Tae wrapped up his song, John simply said, “He was just telling Dan and Shay, ‘Y’all know what y’all need to do.’”

And Reba, who still has a soft spot in her heart for her former team member said, “Everybody leans forward when you walk in the room because they want to know what you’re going to do next. Lives absolutely. That’s my vote.”
Then Chance the Rapper, who is never familiar with the country songs, said, “This was like your most soulful performance. You were doing like the ne-ne kind of like halfway around the stage the whole time. I would put him on my Live team.”
Then it was time for Tae’s coaches to weigh in.
“You’re an amazing tenor vocalist. You really showcased your range in this,” Dan Smyers said.
Shay Mooney added, “I just had this fire in my belly. It might have been the tacos I had for lunch but I’m not sure. You were so fantastic. I am so proud you’re on Team Dan + Shay.”
Then Dan pointed out, “You said, ‘I won’t let you guys down. I will make you proud,’ and you did not let us down. You made us damn proud up here.”
The Voice airs Monday night at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC when the Playoffs begin.
