Five Ways to Tell It’s Stephen Baldwin and Not One of His Brothers

Acting’s Baldwin brothers — Alec, Daniel, William, and Stephen — can be tough to keep straight. Their credits stretch back to the the ’80s, and all of them are still working.
But May 12 belongs to Stephen, the youngest, as he marks his 50th birthday. In honor of the occasion, here are five ways that you can identify him, in case you’d like to bring him a cake or something. After half a century, Stephen must be tired of being mistaken for one of his big bros.
1. Stephen has a Hannah Montana tattoo.
Stephen, the proud father of Alaia, a 23-year-old model, and Justin Bieber’s sometimes love interest, Hailey, 19, met Miley Cyrus during the run of her popular Disney show back in 2007. He told her that his daughters were fans, and she reportedly told him that if he got an “HM” tattoo, she would let him appear on the show. He did, and she did not.

In 2010, the U.K.’s Metro asked him if he thought he might regret the kiddie addition to his collection of more than a dozen tats in the future.
“Never mind years to come, I regret it now,” he confessed.
2. His lengthy résumé includes directing a Christian skateboarding documentary.
Although he was once in a movie called Threesome, the former bad boy — who struggled with drug addiction — decided to change course and dedicate his life to Christ. In 2004, he released Livin It, which cuts skateboarding clips with Christian messages, in an attempt to reach young people. He continues to act in Christian films.

“September 11th kind of freaked me out,” he explained to the Christian Broadcasting Network. “I said, ‘Hey, what’s this all about? My wife’s a Jesus freak. Maybe it’s time I begin thinking about this faith thing.’ Pursued it, became born again, accepted the Lord, baptized in water.”
3. Speaking of baptisms, Stephen is the one who brought Spencer Pratt over from the dark side.
He met the former Hills villain during Pratt and Heidi Montag’s brief, tumultuous stay in the Costa Rican jungle on the second season of the reality show I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!
In 2009, Stephen baptized Pratt — who claimed that he was “too rich and too famous” for the show and its conditions — in a nearby river during Speidi’s religious phase.

4. He is not a Dances With Wolves fan.
At least, we assume that he doesn’t care for the Oscar-winning film that the world loves, since he once sued Kevin Costner for tricking him out of millions of dollars. Stephen filed for bankruptcy back in 2009, when he and wife Kennya were $2 million in debt, more than half of which was owed on their home in Rockland County, N.Y. However, Stephen soon had at least enough money to be investing in the stock market, which is where things went bad between him and Costner.
Stephen claimed his fellow actor — who was also the founder of a company to separate oil from water— had convinced him and another party to sell their shares in Costner’s business the same week that oil company BP put in a $52 million order to clean up the 2010 oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The lawsuit alleged that the $500,000 in stock Stephen sold would have been worth $3.8 million. The details failed to convince a jury, though, and they sided in favor of Costner.

5. Stephen is a Donald Trump supporter.
All politics aside, Baldwin and Trump go way back to one of Stephen’s other realty TV stints. The actor was part of the Celebrity Apprentice cast of 2008 and the all-star version of the show five years later. In 2015, he told CNN that Trump would "make a great president” because he doesn’t care what anybody thinks.
Stephen later elaborated to the Christian Post about why he was supporting a man who fired him on TV. Twice.
“What I believe is, for a time such as this, with the culture sliding and eroding the way it has been over the last decade, I believe Donald Trump is a moral man who in his lifetime has learned a lot and now as a result of his knowledge and wisdom and experience, particularly in business, I believe he can do things that would really make America great again,” he said.

That last one should make him particularly easy to distinguish from eldest brother Alec.
