Flau’Jae Proves She Has “Legendary Flows” On 2024 Bet Hip Hop Awards Amplified Stage
Flau’Jae flexed her rhyme skills at the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards on the Nissan Amplified Stage. Delivering moments from two songs, the Georgia-bred rapper gave new and old fans a lyrical showcase under moody lighting.
The college athlete was named a BET Amplified Artist earlier this month and due to class and her basketball practice schedule, she was unable to attend this year’s event in Las Vegas. Instead, her performance was filmed at Louisiana State University.
“When you’re serious about your craft, you find ways to make it work no matter what,” detailed the basketball player in a statement to the network. “My basketball schedule didn’t allow me to make it to Vegas for the BET Hip Hop Awards, but Nissan and BET came to me, for which I’m incredibly grateful. We didn’t miss a beat, and now that the show has aired, I’m excited that everyone got to see what happens when you keep pushing forward, no matter the obstacles.”
She began the performance with “Legendary Flows,” a slower-paced, melodic track from her Best Of Both Worlds project issued earlier this year. The 20-year-old turned up the heat as she transitioned into “Came Out A Beast,” also featured in the aforementioned mixtape.
Best Of Both Worlds was released in June and features Lil Wayne, NLE Choppa, and 2Rare.
“Basketball season coming back up, have to lock in. Getting ready for the season, getting mentally prepared. That’s where my mind and my focus is at. This summer was a music summer and just getting my music out and promoting and being on the road. Now, I’m ready to lock back in and enjoy my season because I’m already a junior. Time running by fast, so I’m ready to soak it all in,” she shared with VIBE in August.
Flau’Jae and the LSU Lady Tigers tip-off on Nov. 4, 2024, against Eastern Kentucky.
