Folk and blues singer Tom Rush to perform at Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River

FALL RIVER — Acclaimed American folk and blues singer Tom Rush is coming to the Narrows Center for the Arts.

Rush will be performing at the Narrows, 16 Anawan St., on Saturday, Feb. 24.

With a more than 60-year career as a musician, Rush is still making new music, with his latest album, "Gardens Old, Flowers New" due out on March 1.

In the album's title, Rush means to "convey the idea that many things in life — watching your child learn about the world, or falling in love — have happened millions on millions of times through the eons, but each time is always fresh and different," he writes on his website.

His shows are filled with his distinctive guitar style, as well as laughter and story telling.

He began his career in Boston-area clubs, and has spent a great deal of it performing in New England on a regular basis.
