Former Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler was reportedly arrested for driving while intoxicated, in addition to a handful of other charges, just outside of Nashville on Thursday evening.

According to TMZ, the 41-year-old was arrested in Franklin, TN and booked into Williamson County Jail on DUI charges, as well as failure to exercise due care, violation of implied consent law, and possession of a handgun while under the influence. His mugshot has since made its way onto the internet, in which Cutler can be seen with a scruffy beard and messy hair.

A rep for the Franklin Police Department stated that Cutler posted a $5,000 bond and was released later that night.

Cutler spent most of his 12-season NFL career with the Bears, after initially getting drafted by the Denver Broncos in the 2006 season, and finishing out with his final season with the Miami Dolphins in 2017.

Of course, he was also perhaps best known for his marriage to reality star Kristin Cavallari, with whom he starred in the E! series Very Cavallari for three seasons from 2018 to 2020. The series followed the couple's life in Nashville with their three children as as Cavallari launched the flagship store for her jewelry line. However, just a month after announcing their plans to divorce in April 2020, Cavallari announced that she would no longer continue doing the show.

In 2023, Cutler joined the weekly CW highlight show Inside the NFL as an analyst. However, back in July it was announced that former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick would join the show, and that Cutler and his fellow panelist Channing Crowder would not be returning.
