Former NFL Player and “DWTS” Champion Rashad Jennings Goes Viral for Epic Fumble on “Wheel of Fortune”
Jennings played seven seasons in the NFL and won season 24 of 'Dancing with the Stars' in 2017
Rashad Jennings likely won't forget his visit to Wheel of Fortune anytime soon.
Jennings, 38, a former Dancing with the Stars champion, competed on the game show's celebrity edition to raise money for his foundation, the Rashad Jennings Foundation, on Wednesday. But an epic blunder stopped the former NFL player from earning as much as he could have — and made him go viral.
Competing against other former NFL stars Marcellus Wiley and Jared Allen, Jennings' mishap happened when he needed to guess the final letter to spell out, "Driving to Reno with Quentin Tarantino," with only the "Q" in the director's name yet to be revealed.
However, Jennings apparently entered Wednesday's taping unfamiliar with the Pulp Fiction director because he chose the letter "P" to spell out an inaccurate "Puentin" as his final answer.
Host Pat Sajak informed Jennings his guess was incorrect, and Wiley and Allen seemed to let the embarrassing moment pass without poking fun at their opponent.
Social media wasn't going to let Jennings off as easily as his game show opponents, however.
One user on X, formerly Twitter, called Jennings "the worst Wheel of Fortune player of all time" in a post on the app.
Another account wrote, "I haven’t been able to stop laughing after he said P…Puentin Tarantino," in a post on X.
Others were impressed with Jennings' composure despite the embarrassing miss. "Poor guy! What a good sport, though," one user wrote.
In 2017, Jennings took home the Mirror Ball Trophy on season 24 of Dancing with the Stars.
“I’ve really been getting to know myself. It’s an emotional journey, truly, because the intimacy of each song that you have to get inside of and find that place to truly bring out the art of dance, it is emotional,” Jennings told PEOPLE of his experience on the competition series at the time.

Following his win on season 24, Jennings joined the show's live tour Dancing with the Stars: Live! — Hot Summer Nights tour in 2017.
Since then, he has been seen on Great News and Celebrity Dating Game in addition to Wednesday's Wheel of Fortune appearance.
Jennings was drafted in 2009 by the Jacksonville Jaguars and played seven seasons in the NFL. He spent one season with the then-Oakland Raiders and three with the New York Giants.
