Former ‘Voice’ Contestant’s Inspirational Song on ‘Biggest Loser’
On Monday’s The Biggest Loser, former The Voice contestant Erin Willett neared the under-200 pound mark, which the trainers called “wonderland.” She vowed that when she crossed that threshold, she would sing a song. During the final weigh-in, Erin’s previous weight was 200 pounds. She lost one pound during the week, crossing the barrier into the wonderland. However, the moment was bittersweet as her loss revealed that her team, Team Jen, lost this week’s weigh-in. She felt responsible for not losing enough weight to carry her team to victory. She was still able to sing but for a different reason. She said, “As much as I wanted to inspire everybody else with this song, I kinda have to lift myself up with this song.” She then sang her new number “Out of the Darkness.” The other contestants and the trainers were all moved. Jen Widerstrom, her trainer, said, “I don’t think there’s a person here that couldn’t take something from that song.”
The Biggest Loser airs Mondays at 9 pm on NBC.
