Foundation Season 3 Adds Troy Kotsur to Cast
Following his Oscar-winning performance in CODA, Troy Kotsur will officially reunite with Apple Studios in the next installment of Apple TV+’s hit sci-fi drama Foundation.
According to Variety, Kotsur has been tapped to portray the role of Preem Palver, who’s described as “the leader of a planet of psychics.” His casting comes after Apple TV+ had announced the Foundation Season 3 renewal last December. In addition to Foundation, Kotsur will also next be seen in an untitled Disney+ series about a deaf high school football team.
Who’s involved in Foundation?
Apple TV+’s Foundation hails from creator and executive producer David S. Goyer, who is also serving as showrunner. It stars Jared Harris, Lee Pace, Lou Llobell, Leah Harvey, Laura Birn, Terrence Mann, Cassian Bilton, and Alfred Enoch. Season 2 also featured Holt McCallany, Ben Daniels, Rachel House, Isabella Laughland, Mikael Persbrandt, Kulvinder Ghir, Sandra Yi Sencindiver, Ella-Rae Smith, Dimitri Leonidas, and Nimrat Kaur. It is executive produced by Robyn Asimov, Josh Friedman, Cameron Welsh, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Bill Bost. It is a co-production between Apple Studios and Skydance Television.
“The series chronicles the stories of four crucial individuals transcending space and time as they overcome deadly crises, shifting loyalties, and complicated relationships that will ultimately determine the fate of humanity,” reads the logline.
