Fred Again Announces ‘Intimate’ New Album ‘Ten Days’ With Skrillex, Four Tet and Emmylou Harris

Fred Again has announced a new album titled “Ten Days,” set for release on Sept. 6.

The album, made up of “ten songs about ten days,” features the previously released singles “Adore U,” “Ten” and “Places to Be,” featuring Anderson Paak and Chika. A vinyl release will follow on Oct. 25.

Additional artists listed as contributors on the album include Skrillex, Four Tet, Emmylou Harris, the Japanese House, Obongjayar, Jozzy, Jim Legxacy, Sampha, Soak, Joy Anonymous and Scott Hardkiss.

Fred Again wrote in a post on Instagram announcing the album, “there’s been a lot of biggg mad crazy moments in the last year but basically all of these are about really very small quiet intimate moments. some of them are like the most intensely joyful things i have felt, and some of them are the other side of things. and some days I don’t want to speak about loads cos [sic] I’m not the only person it was an important day for if that makes sense.”

The album follows the ever-evolving “USB” — an album that Fred Again has added songs to, treating it more or less like an expanding playlist — and 2023’s “Secret Life,” a collaborative ambient project with Brian Eno.

The release of “Ten Days” follows Fred Again’s recent surprise performances at Glastonbury, where he played a 30-minute ambient set, and The Rising Sun pub in Pensford, Somerset, where he performed to 75 fans alongside the Japanese House.

The electronic-music wunderkind also has a handful of dates coming up across Europe, starting with the Way Out West festival in Sweden.
