Frozen, Hamilton star Jonathan Groff hosting Drag Storytime in Lancaster

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – Broadway star Jonathan Groff, known on the stage for his role as King George III in ‘Hamilton’ and on the big screen as Kristoff in ‘Frozen’, will be returning to his hometown of Lancaster for Drag Storytime.

Groff is teaming up with drag performer Miss Amie Vanite for a free Drag Storytime on September 14 at the Lancaster County Convention Center in Freedom Hall A.

There will be two events, one at 11 a.m. and another at 1 p.m.

“This event is open to all ages, welcoming children, families, and community members of all backgrounds to enjoy a fun, inclusive experience,” says the event’s webpage. “Don’t miss this chance to gather, connect, and enjoy the magic of stories brought to life by two incredible performers!”

Groff recently won a Tony Award for his performance in ‘Merrily We Roll Along’ and has returned to Lancaster for several other events. He will also host a gala following the storytime with proceeds going toward Lancaster Pride and the public library.
