The Future Looks Promising on Bold and the Beautiful…Unless it’s Hope For the Future
Once again, there seemed to be a shift happening with each conversation during the Wednesday, May 29 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful. Let’s break them down.
No Future for Hope for the Future?
A battle seems to be brewing between Hope (Annika Noelle) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). First shot: Steffy said she’s thinking about eliminating Hope’s baby, her fashion line. Yup, Hope for the Future (HFTF) could soon be a part of the past.
“I just don’t see HFTF as one of my visions anymore for this company.”
If Steffy hadn’t had ulterior motives, she would have laid down the law after Thomas (Matthew Atkinson — who’s in production again) left for Paris. Leaving the line in Zende (Delon de Metz) and RJ’s (Joshua Hoffman) hands was an odd choice, considering RJ’s inexperience. Zende tried this once before, but he didn’t have the success Thomas did. What made anyone think those two could pull off such a hugely massive phenomenon without Thomas around?
But Steffy does have ulterior motives. She’s petty and angry and won’t let Hope get away with allegedly influencing Finn (Tanner Novlan). While his showing up at Deacon’s (Sean Kanan) and Sheila’s (Kimberlin Brown) wedding was an accident, he didn’t immediately turn around and hightail it back to Malibu. Instead, he stuck around and witnessed the wedding. On top of it, he took photos with the wedding party. A wedding party that included Hope. And Steffy doesn’t even know he was the one to hand them the rings. Reluctant as he was, Finn ended up all in on the wedding nuptials. The only thing he didn’t do was try one of those toe-shaped desserts. Thank god.
According to Steffy, Hope’s time is up. She’s thinking about cutting HFTF, but she’s already made her decision, hasn’t she? Hope certainly won’t take this aggressive maneuver lying down. What will she do to exert her displeasure? How will she get back at Steffy?
Paternity Tests and Desires
B&B really seems like they’re walking back the decision not to make Bill (Don Diamont) Luna’s father. Because the conversation today involved a lot of explanation as to why Poppy (Romy Park) denied Bill being Luna’s father. It was a little bit exhausting, but ultimately, this may be the best decision. Sure, Bill may still not turn out to be the bio dad, but at least we know it’s a possibility. He wants it. And Luna (Lisa Yamada) expressed how much she wanted it during her chat with RJ.
Ultimately, Bill and Poppy decided to take the paternity test sooner rather than later. It was about time! The interesting thing here is that Poppy considers Bill to be such a wonderful man. What will happen when he shows his true colors? Because that’s going to happen down the road, right? Bill can’t stay this good guy for long. At some point, his inner Dollar Bill will surface. What will Poppy think of her man when that happens? (Find out what happens tomorrow on B&B)
What Did She Say?
Finally, Katie’s conversation with Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), Eric (John McCook), and Donna (Jennifer Gareis) yielded a conundrum of a conversation point. Katie (Heather Tom) used this impromptu gossip session to tell her sisters and Eric about Bill’s new woman. She expressed a bit of unhappiness over the fact he didn’t tell her he’d been dating someone. And, on top of that, it looked serious to her.
Then she was asked if she saw a future with Bill. She simply said she didn’t know. Uh, excuse me? Did they just walk back Katie and Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor)? She didn’t even mention his name today. Are those two still together? Will B&B ever show the two of them together in the same scene again? Why is anyone asking her if she sees a future with Bill when she is with Carter? Hopefully, we’ll get an explanation for what’s going on here soon.
What did you think of Steffy’s decision? And Katie’s feelings regarding Poppy and Bill? Let us know in the comments.
