It has been a big year for rapper Future. His latest release “Mixtape Pluto” debuted at number-one on the Billboard 200 albums chart for the tracking week that ended September 26. That marks his third number-one album in just six months, following his collaborations with Metro Boomin, “We Don’t Trust You” and “We Still Don’t Trust You.” He has reached number-one with 11 albums to date, which ties him for the fifth most of all time. “Mixtape Pluto” achieved 129,000 equivalent album units based on its combined album sales, individual track sales, and online streams. That was just enough to block Chappell Roan‘s “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess” from the top spot. “Midwest Princess” surged around the anniversary of its release, moving 105,000 album units — her first time in six figures. That dropped Sabrina Carpenter‘s “Short n’ Sweet” down a spot to number-three with 100,000 units. Rounding out the top five were Post Malone‘s “F-1 Trillion” and Morgan Wallen‘s “One Thing at a Time,” both at around 53,000 units.

In our weekly Billboard 200 predictions contest, only 13 game players correctly predicted that “Mixtape Pluto” would come out on top; most expected it to be “Short n’ Sweet” again. We also underestimated how successful the top album would be: our consensus was that it would achieve fewer than 100,000 album units when in fact all of the top three albums finished above that threshold. Most players were correct, though, that “Midwest Princess” would be number-two. And while most of us missed number-three, mistakenly picking Taylor Swift‘s “The Tortured Poets Department,” our odds did peg “F-1 Trillion” at number-four and “One Thing at a Time” at number-five. Ultimately, one Gold Derby user was able to correctly answer five out of the six prediction questions this week. How did you do? Find out here.
