Gabrielle Union’s Photo of Daughter Kaavia Shows She’s a Sassy Princess in Everything She Does
The Union-Wade family is living their best life while on their French getaway, and Gabrielle Union showed fans that she and Dwyane Wade’s daughter Kaavia is a sass Queen, no matter where she is.
On Aug 24, Union shared a series of photos to her Instagram story, showing how they’re having fun in the sun. She shared the photos, which were obtained by People, showing Kaavia posing at the ?le Sainte-Marguerite in Cannes.

However, this isn’t just a regular snapshot because the caption shows a hilarious side to the story. Union captioned the snapshot, saying, “Them: Be casual. Kaav:,” showing Kaavia striking that iconic pose of the hand on the hips and smiling. (We also see Kaavia rocking the Barbiecore trend with a hot pink and yellow leopard swimsuit and matching hot pink slides.)
This just shows that Kaavia shows off her sassy, silly side whenever she can, and we love to see it every time!
For those that don’t know, the You Got Anything Stronger? author and Wade welcomed their daughter Kaavia, 5, via a surrogate back in Nov. 2018.
Union is also the stepmom to Wade’s three kids Zaire, 22, Zaya, 17, and Xavier, 10. Along with that, Wade is the legal guardian of his nephew named Dahveon Morris, 22.
In a previous interview with SheKnows, the Bring It On star told us about how amazing it was to make Shady Baby, which was based on their daughter Kaavia.
“It’s been amazing. Inspired by our daughter, Kaavia, we wanted to create a children’s book that not only had a little Black girl as the main character but to also give the word ‘shady’ a more positive association, using it as her superpower, moral compass, and inner strength,” she said. “As a family, we also understand the platform that we have and the importance of doing right for our community. That’s why we get involved in various initiatives to help give back to our community, whether it’s LGBTQ+ rights, advocating for diversity and inclusion in the workplace, or our Don’t Skip public health campaign.”
