GalaxyCon to make New Orleans debut in 2025
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A three-day “festival of fandom” is making its way to New Orleans in 2025.
According to a news release, GalaxyCon is heading to the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in July 2025 for three days of fun centered around pop culture, comic books, anime, gaming, cosplay, sci-fi, fantasy and more.
Celebrating Friday the 13th New Orleans style
New Orleans and Company officials said the New Orleans event is part of GalaxyCon’s expansion and is one of its 18 events announced nationwide for 2025.
They said attendees can expect meet and greets, arcade battles, after-dark entertainment, time to bond with other fans on the show floor and a “celebration of nerd culture.”
New Orleans transit nearly back at full operation
“New Orleans is a perfect new market to bring our festival of fandom,” said GalaxyCon Founder Mike Broder. “Unlike other conventions, the fun doesn’t stop at sundown at GalaxyCon, and we know that fans in and around New Orleans will appreciate our brand of entertainment that continues well past midnight and into the early morning hours.”
GalaxyCon is set to take place from July 11, 2025, to July 13, 2025. For more information, visit the GalaxyCon website.
